Ever look at the back of a best-selling book and see rave reviews from other famous authors and influencers? Sadly, most of them are fake, and these influencers who say "XYZ's book is awesome!" are fulfilling an unethical industry practice called blurbs ...
A blurb is a great testimonial from someone notable and usually sounds like any of the following:
"Joe Author's book is a once in a lifetime work. This book is a seminal read for anyone who wants to get rich and stay rich."
"I have never read a book more influential in my life. The practical and very actionable concepts left me stunned and my mouth on the floor. You must read this book if you want to forever change your life."
Sound great? Sure, except most of these raves are fake.
You see, publishers represent thousands of authors. And when one of their authors has a new book, they ask their other authors under contract to "give a blurb" for the upcoming book release. In other words, the blurbs are from influential people who never read the damn book and are simply applying a publisher quid-pro-quo. Worse, the blurbs aren't written by the blurber but by the publisher, enhancing the grand illusion.
I've been asked to give blurbs, and unless I've read the book and find it valuable, I decline. Blurbing is pure deception; it is not marketing. When a reader sees a quote from a famous author on the cover of a book, it becomes an explicit endorsement, even though that blurber never read the book. You are being deceived.
This practice is widespread and standard. As the self-publisher of The Millionaire Fastlane, all my raves and recommendations are from real people who read the book. It took me years to acquire these. No quid pro quo.
Mr. DeMarco delivers a message virtually everyone needs to hear and understand. He clearly defines the futility and frustrations 95% of mankind endure, the root causes and delivers a roadmap on how to break free of these constraints.
Considering I don't hang out at Reddit and the platform tends to lean anti-capitalism, anti-wealth, and anti-business, I have to admit I'm proud of this result. It came as quite a surprise to me. If The Millionaire Fastlane can appeal to this tough audience, it will appeal with you.

I was honestly shocked that someone would be willing to invest the time and energy to share this information with others; he could have quite easily sat back and enjoyed his own life, leaving the rest of us in the dark. I am beyond grateful for the time, effort and care that went into this book. MJ DeMarco gets it, and thanks to this book, now I get it, too.
Millionaire Fastlane does a great job of explaining the futility of the 9-5 if you're serious about financial independence. This book isn't about clipping coupons, getting put of debt, or 4 hour work weeks. This book is a no-bull explanation about what it takes to set yourself free.
I have to say, I don't think I've ever experienced such a shift of opinion within the span of a book.
Unbelievably good. I've spent over a decade reading and studying tons of material, all of which don't amount to the dense, accurate, straightforward truths of this book (and then some). MJ puts together all the pieces in one simple solution, while clarifying all other variables that always leave you wondering how the heck they're associated.
Nice thorough book that explains from all angles the mindset and the steps to get on to starting your own business and ultimately, to get into the fast lane. My life has completely changed now, not even joking.

I have to admit, when I first saw the title of this book I thought, "This looks like another get rich quick scheme." Ironically, it is... but not the way you think. This book turned out to be one of the best books I've ever read. And I've read a lot. Especially books about entrepreneurship. This book completely turns the idea of how to become wealthy upside down and it will make you look at the world through a different lens. This book is now in my top 5 and I wish I'd read it years ago.
I'd give it 6 stars if i could so good was the book. The man spent a good deal of his time making this personal finance book entertaining and interesting and he succeeded. I haven't read a more eye-opening book in finances ever.
